Blue Star Service Pin. Bright red, white and blue enamel over gold tone. Mounted on a military clutch pin. To be worn horizontally on a lapel.
Note that this is an unofficial version of the Service Button authorized by the Department of Defense (regulation 1348.33). Now that we carry the Service Button, this product will likely be phased out in favor of the official version. And, because DOD regulations only provide for one blue star on a service pin, we do not carry pins with more than one blue star. Dimensions: 3/4" x 3/8". Imported. When purchasing a blue star service flag pin, please respect the following regulations: Department of Defense regulations authorize the following family members of a servicemember to wear a service pin for the duration of a war or hostilities: wife, husband, mother, father, stepmother, stepfather, children, stepchildren, brothers, sisters, half-brothers, half-sisters, foster parents in loco parentis, and parents or children through adoption. For the service flag pin to be worn by a family member it is not necessary that the servicemember be stationed overseas or deployed to the theater of hostilities. All active-duty members of the United States Armed Forces participate in the defense of our Nation regardless of their duty station. Accordingly, their family may wear the service flag pin.
